ANCHORAGE - A 46-year-old man is accused of screaming threats at a Denali National Park and Preserve visitor center.
Mauricio Chiessi is under arrest on a federal charge of engaging in threatening behavior and using obscene language in a public area.
Park rangers say Chiessi's outburst began Thursday morning when he started threatening passengers on a tour bus and then continued at the park's Wilderness Access Center after he was removed from the vehicle.
According to the charges, Chiessi screamed incoherently when an officer asked him what the problem was.
Authorities say Chiessi said he wanted to die and when his mother tried to calm him down, he began screaming that he would kill her.
Chiessi is being held at the Fairbanks Correctional Center.
