ANCHORAGE - A judge sentenced a man to 107 years in prison for torturing and killing another man before dumping his body in the pit of an outhouse.
Officials say Ronald Christian was sentenced Friday in the 2006 death of 37-year-old Christopher Lindstrom, who was trying to buy cocaine with Christian.
Police say Christian robbed Lindstrom and tortured him for his ATM pin number. Authorities said he then stabbed Lindstrom and shot him three times in the head.
An accomplice three weeks later led police to Lindstrom's body in the pit of an outhouse near Butte.
The FBI said two days after the murder, they arrested Christian on an unrelated crime. Officials say he tried to rob an Anchorage bank with a knife while disguising himself with a plastic monkey mask.
