KENAI - Birders are flocking to the Kenai Peninsula for the Kenai Birding Festival.
The festival has become an annual event on the central Peninsula with workshops and activities geared toward all ages and levels of skill.
With some 260 bird species that can be found across the peninsula, about 200 people are expected to attend this year's festival. On Saturday afternoon, the Kenai birding platform was set up for spotting and observing the different bird species.
Ken Marlow, a birder and organizer of the festival, says anyone who wants to can come and see the birds. The festival winds up Sunday.
