Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Two fire extinguishers and two sets of keys were reported stolen from a motor home at 3:10 p.m. Thursday near N. Jordan Avenue.

• A child's red mountain bike was reported stolen at 3:19 p.m. Thursday near Riverside Drive.

• An adult bicycle was reported stolen Wednesday at 3:37 p.m. near Glacier Highway.

• A portable CD player, CD case and CDs were reported stolen from a car at 9:23 a.m. Saturday near Julep Street.

• A hailer, downrigger, downrigger mount and tackle box were reported stolen at 10:03 a.m. Saturday near Auke Bay Harbor Road.

• A five-gallon can full of fuel was reported stolen at 4:48 p.m. Friday near Third Street on Douglas.

• A black leather jacket and two vials of prescription drugs were reported stolen Friday at 12:37 p.m. near Postal Way.


• A man, 33, was arrested on assault charges at 5:34 p.m. Friday near Pocket Park. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Minor consuming:

• A girl, 16, and two girls, 17, were cited for minor consuming and transported home at 2:41 a.m. Saturday near West Willoughby Avenue.


• A man, 56, was cited and released for sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance at 5:56 p.m. Friday near Shell Simmons Drive.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• A woman, 41, reported a broken window on her truck at 3 p.m. Friday near North Douglas Highway.

Vehicle accidents:

• A man, 38, was cited for failing to maintain a safe distance after rear-ending a blue Dodge truck with his silver Ford truck at 12:36 p.m. Friday near Vanderbilt Road. The Ford sustained $1,500 in damage, and the Dodge sustained $2,000 in damage.

• A 1997 Nissan sustained $3,500 in damage after being struck by a 1995 Chrysler driven by a man, 45, at 3:09 p.m. Friday near Egan Drive.

• A woman, 51, was cited for careless driving at 11:33 a.m. Friday after her 1988 Dodge hit a 2002 Ford van, causing $1,000 in damage to the Ford, and $1,500 to the Dodge. The operator of the Ford, a man, 61, was transported for evaluation of injuries.

• A woman, 31, reported her white Jeep Cherokee was struck in a hit-and-run at 1:35 p.m. Thursday near North Jordan Avenue. The car sustained about $500 in damage.

• A 1994 Ford Tempo driven by a man, 42, struck a 1996 Toyota driven by a woman, 68, at 3:09 p.m. Friday. The Toyota sustained about $3,000 in damage and the Ford sustained about $2,000 in damage. There were minor injuries.

Lost property:

• A black vinyl purse containing a checkbook and jewelry was reported lost at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

• A wallet was reported missing at 2:21 p.m. Friday in downtown Juneau.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported at 11:37 p.m. Friday near Kanata Street.


• A man, 38, was arrested for shoplifting at 4:29 p.m. Friday near Mendenhall Mall Road. He was lodged at the state prison.

• A man, 30, was cited and released for driving with a canceled license at 9:31 p.m. Thursday near Back Loop Road and Mint Way. His vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.

• A man, 18, was cited and released for providing false information to police at 12:49 p.m. Thursday near Seater Street.
