Please consider these facts: For every gallon of gas burned, a car produces roughly 20 pounds of carbon dioxide. The average car, in terms of fuel economy, is driven about 15,000 miles per year, producing approximately 13,000 pounds of carbon dioxide annually.

Now that we know global warming is a reality, every car off the road makes a difference in this plight. Commuter cyclists should be getting our kudos, not our contempt.
