Four downtown Juneau homes burglarized

JUNEAU - Four homes in the downtown area were burglarized Friday morning, and in three of the cases, people were asleep inside while thieves entered the homes and stole items, according to police.

Police said various household items were taken, including some items that had been in one of the bedrooms where someone slept.

The front doors of the homes had been left unlocked, police said.

Two vehicles also were rifled through on Ferry Way on Friday. They were parked and locked, according to police. The car windows were broken and suspects took items that were visible through the car windows.

Police ask people with information on the crimes to call the Juneau Police Department at 586-0600 or to leave an anonymous tip on the Crime Line at 586-4243.
