WASILLA - The chamber of commerce in Gov. Sarah Palin's hometown will be looking for new board members after five of the seven board members resigned abruptly Wednesday.
Former President Cheryl Combs of the Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce said she quit due to "significant trepidation" regarding the future of the chamber.
She said money was spent inappropriately and contributed to financial shortfalls at the organization.
She recommended a new board conduct an outside audit of the chamber's financial transactions.
Board member Susan Crowder says she resigned because things were happening in the management of the chamber that did not match her values.
