ANCHORAGE - A recall election Tuesday in Nome could oust all five members of the school board.
The Anchorage Daily News reports the recall campaign launched a bitter feud in the Northwest Alaska city of 3,500.
The dispute began in January when the board voted 3-2 to oust the principal and assistant principal at the Nome junior-senior high school.
Recall petitioners say school board members broke open-meeting rules and violated school board policy in handling contracts.
School Board President Gloria Karmun says the board acted within its legal and ethical bounds.
