Thefts, lost/found items:
A man, 43, reported about 8:45 a.m. Thursday from Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School the theft from his vehicle of a backpack containing a VHF radio. No value was given for the missing item. There were neither leads nor suspects.
Police received a report about 8:30 p.m. Thursday from Big Kmart that a red boy's bicycle had been stolen from in front of the store.
About 4:30 p.m. Thursday, a man, 39, was arrested downtown for domestic violence assault on a 40-year-old man. The assault suspect was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Capital City Fire & Rescue responded about 5:23 p.m. Thursday to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Egan Drive and West 12th Street. A silver Toyota sustained $4,500 damage in the head-on collision. The driver, 79, suffered minor injuries. A blue Chevy, operated by a man, 36, sustained $3,000 damage. Firefighters said two people were transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital's emergency room for treatment. Only one person, a woman, 79, was actually treated, according to Bartlett. The woman suffered multiple bruises and facial cuts. She was released home in two hours in good condition, the hospital said.
A boy, 15, was placed under arrest shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday on Rainbow Row for misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was transported to and lodged at Johnson Youth Center.
Shortly before 1 a.m. today, a man, 19, was cited on Mendenhall Loop Road for being a minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol and for being a minor consuming alcohol. He was given courtesy transportation to a Mendenhall Valley location.
After police conducted a stop shortly before noon Thursday on Egan Drive, a man, 35, was cited for driving while his license was suspended/revoked. He was released at the scene. His vehicle was released to a licensed driver at the scene.
