Age: 7.

Grade: 1.

School: Harborview Elementary School.

Art of choice: Singing.

Reason: "You're actually exercising your voice (when you're singing) - it's fun. Singing in the concert last week was really exciting," she said.

Favorites: "There's a song from 'Titanic' I really like," she said. Her favorite song in the Harborview Elementary School concert last week was "Sail Away My Bonnie."

Activities: She studies Japanese, plays the violin, does gymnastics and sings in the Alaska Youth Choir.

Future plans: She wants to be a paleontologist, an artist and a singer.

You should know: She likes to do scribble art with a variety of colors.

Wacky art: "If a singer sang 'Old MacDonald Had a Farm' in front of a crowd at a real concert, that would be wacky," she said.

Her teacher, Marilee Guiher, says: "Lena is always thrilled to perform. She looks forward to music class, has wonderful energy and a positive attitude and is a joy to work with. She stands out as a student who loves music."
