On Monday, May 24, 2004, I submitted a letter to the editor titled "Equal Laws for Men." In this letter, I made a mistake in my choice of words. I stated in the last paragraph, Rep. Weyhrauch, is our goal to really stop unwanted pregnancies?
"If the answer is yes, then support legislation that mandates if a man impregnates over three women and isn't married to her and doesn't pay child support, he should be circumcised." I meant to say, he should have a "vasectomy."
I even took a minute to check Webmd.com. It states the definition of vasectomy as "a permanent method of birth control."
To all Juneau readers, I apologize for the error in my choice of words. I would like to confirm to the community that the Empire does print exactly what you write. So choose your words carefully.
