Superintendent Doug Miller moves past a large hole Tuesday on the port side of the Alaska Marine Highway's damaged ferry LeConte at Alaska Ship and Drydock in Ketchikan. Miller was marking the vessel's internal framing while the ship is undergoing repairs. The ferry struck Cozian Reef in Peril Strait on May 10, creating gashes 30 to 40 feet long on each side of the vessel.
