Insulting the governor doesn't help cause

David Fremming's letter to the editor on Wednesday was insulting and uncalled for ("Special-session move is not a bright idea").

Sound off on the important issues at

Having met Gov. Sarah Palin and her senior staff, I can assure readers they are intelligent and thoughtful people. Regardless of political differences, and I have many with the administration, they were polite and willing to listen to all sides of an argument.

Fremming's diatribe was not only insulting, it also was harmful to the issue he was concerned about. It does not serve Juneau's interest to fling insults at the governor and her staff.
