ANCHORAGE - The average home price in March in Anchorage was .38 percent lower than the same month last year, but a marked improvement from February.
The new data is from First American CoreLogic, which said the Anchorage market had a .8 percent decrease in February compared to February 2008.
Nationally, housing prices were off 11.5 percent in March compared to figures from the same month last year.
For states, Nevada showed the biggest decline March to March, down 26 percent. California was second, while Alaska came in 40th place with an .85 percent decline
