Juneau Dance Unlimited will bring the Weber Dance Company back to Juneau, June 7-25, for a three-week dance intensive for students ages 9 through adult.
Weber Dance Company, based in Boston, is a dance performance troupe whose mission is to develop concert dance pieces that engage the public in the beauty and expressive power of movement. This will be the third year JDU has sponsored their residency. The three-week dance intensive will feature classes in ballet, modern, repertory, hip hop, improvisation, poetry dances, composition, and broadway dance. The first session, for students ages 9-12 years, will be held 1:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. No previous dance experience required. The second session, for students ages 13 years through adult, will be held 5 - 8:45 p.m. Classes will be held Monday through Friday at the JDU Dance Studio located at 8420 Airport Blvd., Ste. 202.

Participating dance intensive students and the Weber Dance Company will perform June 25, 7 p.m. at the JDHS Auditorium.
The Weber Dance Company project is supported by the citizens of the City and Borough of Juneau through sales tax revenue, the Alaska State Council on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, Juneau Arts and Humanities Council, the Douglas-Dornan Foundation and the Hecla Charitable Foundation.
