Concerts in the Park begin Friday June 4

The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council will soon present another summer season with free open air concerts.

The Concerts in the Park series, sponsored by Holland America, opens Friday, June 4, with a performance by Thunder Mountain Big Band, and can be enjoyed every Friday evening through August 13, from 7-8:30 pm. at Marine Park.

Here's a look at June's scheduled acts.

June 4: Thunder Mountain Big Band; June 11: Stroller White Pipes, Drums & Dancers, Juneau Tlingit Dancers, Patshiva; June 18: Carl Reese, Doug Badilla, Anna Graceman & the Gracenotes; June 25: HeartStrings, Flutatious, Naomi Hooley and the Hoochies.

On July 11, Juneau Arts & Humanities Council will open a Douglas version of Concerts in the Park: Sundays at Savikko, which will take place at the new Pioneer Pavilion in Savikko Park by Sandy Beach, Sundays, July 11 through Aug 15, from 4:30 -6 p.m.
