State closes detox program at Anchorage center

ANCHORAGE - The Alaska Division of Behavioral Health has shut down the detox program at the Clitheroe treatment center in Anchorage for a safety violation involving a patient.

A Salvation Army spokeswoman told KTUU the unit failed to properly supervise patients. No one was injured.

Six patients were transferred to other facilities.
