In 1984, I challenged Jesse Jackson in a public forum in New Hampshire about his calling Jews "Hymies" during his presidential run. He answered the charge by quoting John 8:2 and yelling for me to pick up a stone and throw it at him.
"They that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also other scriptures, unto their own destruction" (II Peter 3:16).
