University of Alaska Southeast Chancellor John Pugh, right; Sandy Boyce, Alaska issues coordinator for U.S.D.A. Forest Service, center; and Brendan Kelly, dean of UAS arts and sciences, admire a book in the new natural resource collection in the UAS Egan library. The collection, started in 1948, had been housed at the Forest Service research laboratory. In addition to forestry, the collection will provide students and faculty resources and material on fisheries, wildlife, insects, geology, soils, water, recreation and archeology.
