Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Several mooring cleats and were reported stolen at 12:09 p.m. Saturday from the 11400 block of Harbor Drive in the Auke Bay area. Two bathroom faucets also were reported vandalized in the incident. The cleats were valued at $800. The damaged faucets were valued at $75 each.

• A purse containing a cellular telephone and about $6 was reported stolen at 2:02 a.m. Sunday near Sealaska Plaza downtown.

• Police cited a woman, 38, on a charge of larceny at 11:45 a.m. Sunday after they responded to a shoplifting call in the 600 block of West Willoughby Avenue downtown.


• At 9:53 a.m. Sunday, damage was reported to a hatch on a boat in Harris Harbor downtown, apparently from someone trying to gain access to the vessel. Damage was estimated at $300.

Vehicle accidents:

• At 10 p.m. Saturday, a 2001 Ford van, parked in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway, was reported struck by a 1995 Jeep, driven by a woman, 18. Damage to the Jeep was estimated at $500. No damage was reported to the Ford.

Traffic stop:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 4:23 p.m. Saturday on Cinema Drive in the Mendenhall Valley after citing the driver, a man, 22, on a charge of driving without a license.

Underage drinking:

• Police cited a man, 20, at 11:32 p.m. Saturday on a charge of underage drinking on Marine Way downtown.

Animal encounters:

• Police issued a written warning at 9:07 p.m. Saturday to a resident in the 4500 block of Kanat'a Street in the Valley, where the property was strewn with garbage reportedly scattered by a bear the night before. A bear also was reported eating out of a bag of trash at 6:57 a.m. Sunday in the 8500 block of Nugget Place in the Valley. Bears also were reportedly seen at 12:34 p.m. Saturday and 2:14 p.m. Saturday in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.
