ANGOON - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium Angoon Health Center will host a special Denali KidCare pediatric dental clinic on June 9-13.

This special pediatric clinic will feature dental examination appointments on Monday and Tuesday, June 9 through 10, with follow-up treatment taking place later in the week (June 11 through 13). The clinic is open for children younger than 18 years old who are enrolled in the state of Alaska's Denali KidCare program or are on Medicaid. Dr. Joseph Kelly will lead the pediatric dental team for this clinic.

Parents and guardians who wish to have their children participate in this special clinic should call Tina Gamble at the SEARHC Angoon Health Center at 788-4655 to schedule an exam appointment. For more information about SEARHC's Denali KidCare special clinics, contact Cara Land, dental health systems specialist in Juneau, at 364-4494, or call Tina Gamble at the SEARHC Angoon Health Center number.

Denali KidCare is a state program designed to make sure Alaska resident children younger than 18 of working and nonworking parents, and expecting mothers who meet income guidelines, have insurance so they have full access to health care. SEARHC partners with the Denali KidCare program to provide special clinics around the region when pediatric dentists are available.
