Thanks for contributing to The Learning Connection's graduation

The Learning Connection, a program of SERRC - Alaska's Educational Resource Center, would like to thank Coeur Alaska, Kensington Gold Mine and Kennecott Minerals, Greens Creek Mining Co. for sponsoring TLC's GED graduation and the Alaska Vocational Institute's awards ceremony on May 2 at the Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall.

Additionally, TLC staff would like to thank the following businesses, organizations, and individuals for helping to make our 2008 graduation a very special event for our graduates, their families and friends: Ernestine Hayes inspiring students with her beautiful words; Connie Munro, Elizabeth Martin, and the GED Alumni Association volunteers; Alaska Native Brotherhood Camp 2, for the use of the ANB Hall; Sueann Williams and her staff for setting up the hall for the ceremony; Stroller White Pipes and Drums, for leading students into the hall; Woosh ji een Dance Group, for their performance and dancing students out of the hall; TLC's volunteer tutors, for working with students; University of Alaska Southeast and the Vocational Training Resource Center, for providing scholarship opportunities for students; Glacier Gardens; Miss Scarlett's; Martha's Flowers and Carr's Safeway.

TLC appreciates the ongoing support of everyone involved with our programs - all of which help people build a better life through education.
