JUNEAU - KTOO is moving Sealaska Heritage Institute's Celebration 2008 broadcast from the Gavel-to-Gavel channel to UATV, the University of Alaska's television network.
This is because the 360 North/Gavel to Gavel Alaska channel will be carrying live coverage of a special session of the Alaska Legislature during Celebration, scheduled June 5 to 7.
The UATV channel is available on the same communities statewide as the Gavel-to-Gavel channel, but viewers are advised to contact their local cable station for more information.
KTOO-TV is producing complete television coverage of the entire three-day event, which takes place at Juneau's Centennial Hall. Coverage will start with the Grand Entrance shortly after 8 a.m. on June 5, and will conclude with the Grand Exit at about 9 p.m. on June 7. The coverage also will be rebroadcast after each day's live program wraps up.
In addition to cable television, Celebration 2008 will be streamed live on the Internet at www.ktoo.org.
