Posted: Sunday, May 30, 2010

Scott Walkenford, father of Kayla Walkenford, 20, and Brittany Walkenford,17, disappeared Saturday, May 15, 2010. Extensive search and rescue efforts have not been successful, as Walkenford has not been found.

The family extends its gratitude to all who have lent their support during this difficult time, including the multitude of organizations that have assisted in the search including Juneau Mountain Rescue, Douglas Mountain Rescue, Temsco Helicopters, SEADOGS, Alaska State Troopers, Juneau Police Department, the Forest Service, the Coast Guard, Wildflower Court, Juneau Christian Center and correctional and probation officers. And, the family is also grateful for support from many, many residents of Juneau, who assisted the search party.

A donation account for Scott Walkenford's daughters has been established at Wells Fargo. Funds from this account are expected to cover expenses such as food, clothing, and shelter for Walkenford's minor daughter and bills related to Walkenford's disappearance.

Donations are appreciated and would aid this family during this difficult time. Donations can be made to account 1966908996, at Wells-Fargo Bank, held by Kayla and Brittany Walkenford.
