JUNEAU - The Alaska Native Sisterhood Camp #2 will host a special service on Memorial Day at the gravesite of Elizabeth Peratrovich, in honor of the civil rights leader.
The Reverend Doctor Walter Soboleff will open the ceremony at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, followed by Alaska Native Sisterhood Grand Camp President Emeritus Selina Everson, who will say the Lord's Prayer in Tlingit, the traditional language of Mrs. Peratrovich.
A wreath will be placed on the grave by Patricia Lee Weokuluk, student member of the A.N.S. Camp #2, and individual flowers are welcomed.
Priscilla Kunz and Carol Trebian will close the ceremony with Tlingit song.
