GCLL: Home runs lift Astros past Devil Rays in Minor Baseball action

Strong pitching helps M's blank the Cards

Three inside-the-park home runs helped push the Astros to a 12-8 win over the Devil Rays in Minor Baseball over the week at Miller Field in the Gastineau Channel Little League.

Tanner Petrie smacked a two-run home run while Bridge Taylor and Joe Spencer hit solo shots in the win.

Orion Cohen picked up the pitching win for the Astros.


Mariners 6, Cardinals 0

Christian Gould and Jeffery Pusich combined to pitch six innings of shutout ball as the Mariners blanked the Cardinals.

Gould fired the first five innings while Pusich closed it out with a scoreless sixth.

Josh Magnuson went 2-for-3 for the Mariners.

For the Cardinals, Dalton Kolvig made two great catches in center field.
