Parks and Recreation Saturday Hike, 9:30 a.m., Point Bridget Trailhead at Mile 39. Seven miles round trip to Blue Mussel Beach. Wear warm clothes, waterproof hiking or rubber boots and bring food and water. No dogs or firearms.

Wild Things Costume Carnival, 10-noon, Juneau Public Library. Come dressed as your favorite wild thing, get your face painted and participate in the fun.
