A Seattle naturopathic physician, Dan Labriola, will speak in Juneau this month on combining traditional and nontraditional therapies to fight cancer.
Labriola consults with several Seattle area hospitals and health care providers on cancer treatment. He advocates augmenting conventional cancer treatments with nontraditional therapies, according to Mike Miller of the Southeast Alaska Cancer and Wellness Foundation, which is helping bring him to town.
Labriola will speak at a brown bag lunch 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 22 at McPhetres Hall at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 325 Gold St. More than 200 people attended Labriola's last presentation in Juneau in October 1999, Miller said.
Labriola is founder of the Northwest Natural Health Specialty Care Clinic in Seattle.
