Juneau resident Arvis Maurice Dailey, 77, died May 26, 2005, at his home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1927, raised in Ketchikan and lived most of his life in Wrangell. He lived a few years in Sitka before making Juneau his home.
He was a retired pile driver from T.O. Paddock Construction Co. He enjoyed reading history.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Sr. and Eleanor (Lynch) Dailey; his sister, Ardis Dailey; his brother, Theodore Dailey Jr.; and his oldest son, Kendal Dailey.
He is survived by his three daughters, Eleanor Dailey of Juneau, Crystal Dailey of Eagle River, and Kelly and her husband Forrest Stephenson of Sacramento, Calif.; his son, Glenn Dailey of Fairbanks; and three granddaughters and two grandsons.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., June 2, at Northern Light United Church.
