The Juneau Student Symphony will be bringing their music on the water with a tour to Sitka and Hoonah.

On June 9, the symphony will travel to Sitka, and on June 10, they will rehearse a joint concert with local Sitka musicians, together with Sitka Music Festival musicians, and perform an evening concert at 7:30 p.m. at Blatchley Middle School.

On June 11, the symphony will return to Juneau, stopping in Hoonah on the way to rehearse, and perform a joint concert at the Heritage Community Theater at Icy Strait Point at 4:30 p.m.

Admission is free for both concerts and donations will be gratefully accepted. This tour is sponsored in part by the city of Juneau Youth Activities Grant, VECO and the communities visited.

There are limited additional seats on the catamaran, for those who would like to enjoy the Student Symphony's Outreach and Sitka Summer Music Festival concerts. For more information, contact Rick Trostel at 586-1915.
