Michael Chabon, author of "The Yiddish Policeman's Union" and a Pulitzer Prize winner, shakes hands Wednesday night with Susan Shields at the Hangar Ballroom in the Merchants Wharf. Chabon was in town as the guest of Hearthside Books. His latest book re-imagines a Sitka with thousands of Jewish settlers.
