FAIRBANKS - Fairbanks police say a 6-year-old boy was the target of an abduction from a grocery store.

Police were called to the store in west Fairbanks just after 9 p.m. Thursday.

The boy told his parents that a man grabbed him by the arm as he was walking near the bathroom.

The boy was able to pull away and run to his father.

The man was described as in his mid-20s, with blond or light-color hair and a neck tattoo. He may have driven off in a silver or gray sedan.

Police are trying to obtain video of the incident.
