ANCHORAGE - Anchorage police are investigating a shooting that seriously wounded a 21-year-old man at a crowded park.
Police say Saroeun Muon was struck in the torso Sunday at Valley of the Moon Park, where he had been barbecuing with his family.
Lt. Dave Parker says Muon underwent surgery and is expected to recover.
There have been no arrests.
Police say Muon was shot multiple times following a fight between him and other men in the parking lot.
Police say there were many witnesses to the shooting.
