Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Vehicle accidents:

• An unknown vehicle struck a parked 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier in a hit-and-run accident reported at 12:41 p.m. Saturday near Vintage Boulevard. The Cavalier sustained $500 in damage.

• A man, 68, reported at 5:47 p.m. Saturday that his garage door, near Capital Avenue, had been backed into and damaged. No damage estimate was available.


• At 2:59 p.m. Saturday near Bent Court, a woman reported that cash had been stolen from a local business.

• At 10:05 a.m. Sunday near Bentwood Place, a cash box was reported stolen sometime Saturday night.

Lost property:

• A blue wallet was reported lost at 6:21 p.m. Saturday in the Juneau area. The wallet contained identification and various other cards.

Found property:

• A man found a backpack near Glacier Highway and Lemon Creek and turned it into Juneau police at 11:27 a.m. Sunday. The pack contained clothing and other items.

Domestic violence:

• A man, 39, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. Sunday near Thunder Mountain Road for criminal mischief domestic violence. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• A woman, 34, reported at 9:12 a.m. Sunday that her mailbox, near Julep Street, was damaged sometime Saturday night.

Bear complaint:

• A caller reported a black bear in his yard at 9:13 a.m. Sunday near Laurie Lane.


• A man, 31, was cited for disorderly conduct at 2:21 a.m. Sunday near Trout Street.
