Organization description: Trail Mix brings together volunteers and local, state, and federal agencies to develop and maintain a trail system in the city of Juneau.

Years of service: 12.

Volunteer positions available: Volunteers are needed for the National Trails Day celebration at 9:30 a.m., June 3, at the newly renovated Herbert Glacier Trail, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and volunteer project. Crews and volunteers will work on final touchups along the trail, including removing cut brush and trees and placing organics and moss along the edges of the trail. All ages of volunteers are welcome. Bring gloves, water, a lunch and bug spray, and dress for the weather.
