Driving while intoxicated:
Craig Allen Klawitter, 39, was arrested for drunk driving at 10:20 p.m. Friday in the Fred Meyer parking lot. He was additionally charged with eluding officers, refusing to take a blood alcohol test and driving while his license is revoked. He was taken Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Don Martin, 27, was arrested for drunk driving at 2:20 a.m. Saturday on Seward Street. He was additionally charged with driving while his license was revoked and disorderly conduct. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Brian Byers, 27, was arrested for drunk driving at 2:40 a.m. Saturday on Glacier Highway in the valley. He was additionally charged with driving while his license was revoked, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
A 25-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence at 2:30 a.m. Saturday downtown. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
A CD player was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Parkwood Drive sometime before 7 a.m. Friday.
Vandalism and criminal mischief:
A car was vandalized in the Juneau-Douglas High School parking lot between noon and 3 p.m. Friday.
A 17-year-old boy drove his car into a pickup at 12:45 p.m. Friday on Glendale Street, causing $5,000 damage to the pickup and $3,000 to his own car. The 17-year-old was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for minor injuries.
A 20-year-old man rear-ended the car in front of him at 4:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Egan Drive and Salmon Creek, causing $6,000 damage to his pickup and $500 to the car in front. Nobody was hurt and the man was cited for failing to maintain a safe driving distance.
A bear was sighted on Thunder Mountain Road at 9:45 p.m. Friday.
A 41-year-old man was arrested for having an open container of alcohol in Marine Park at 12:45 a.m. Saturday.
A 39-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct at 1 a.m. Saturday downtown. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
