ANCHORAGE - Alaska State Troopers say a Wasilla man pushed his girlfriend out of a moving car and was charged with felony assault.
Fifty-one-year-old Kenneth Christenson also was charged Monday with driving under the influence of alcohol and weapons misconduct.
Troopers in Talkeetna took a report at 12:20 a.m. Monday that a 25-year-old woman had suffered serious injuries to her right leg, ankle, arm, shoulder and back near Mile 133 Parks Highway.
Investigators said the woman argued with Christenson and he opened the front passenger door and forced her out. She got tangled in her seat belt and was dragged.
Troopers said Christenson eventually stopped and beat the woman before driving on. Troopers stopped him near Mile 50 an hour later.
The woman was treated at Mat-Su Regional Hospital.
