FAIRBANKS - A Fairbanks man who robbed two men at gunpoint and another at knifepoint has been sentenced to 33 years in prison.

Justin Thomerson accepted a plea deal Tuesday just as jury selection was about to begin in the knifepoint case.

Assistant District Attorney Andrew Baldock says Fairbanks is a better place with Thomerson removed from the streets. Thomerson had three prior felony convictions before the two most recent robberies.
