White Nights, an annual festival of Russian culture, will be held this year on June 20 at Centennial Hall.
Sponsored by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Washington, D.C., the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the City & Borough of Juneau, the eight-hour celebration includes musical performers from around the state.
Participants scheduled to perform this year include Svetlana Velichko and Elena Smironova from Anchorage; Steve Tada, violinist from Juneau; the Russian Sudarushka Dancers from Anchorage; the New Archangel Dancers from Sitka; Singing Family Trioka from Anchorage; the SitNiks, a Russian folk music group from Sitka; and the Kodiak Russian Players, also from Kodiak.
A donation of $10 is suggested.
