City museum seeks Juneau History Grant applicants

The Juneau-Douglas City Museum is presently accepting applications for the 2008-2009 Juneau History Grant.

Students, teachers, organizations and individuals of all ages are encouraged to apply for up to $1,000 to assist them in the completion of a project that will document, preserve or improve access to the history of the greater Juneau-Douglas area. Projects may include, but are not limited to, live performances, public presentations, research papers, recordings, videos or use of other media.

Applications are available online and at the museum. The deadline is 4 p.m. on Monday, June 16. For more information, contact the museum at 586-3572 or go to www.juneau.org/parkrec/museum/.

The Juneau-Douglas City Museum is located at Fourth and Main Streets and is a program of the Juneau Parks and Recreation Department.
