SOLDOTNA - Alaska State Troopers released the identity of a 3-year-old girl killed when she was pinned by a pickup after the unoccupied vehicle rolled.
Troopers said the victim was Ayden Batson. Another person, 27-year-old Tatiana Batson, also was pinned by the truck but was not injured.
Central Emergency Services Capt. Lesley Quelland said the pickup was parked on an embankment. Officials said it was unoccupied, and the gear somehow became dislodged.
The truck rolled, and trapped the child.
Quelland said paramedics transported the toddler to Central Peninsula Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
