ANCHORAGE - Alaska health officials are confirming two more cases of swine flu in the state.
The state virology lab in Fairbanks confirmed both tests Wednesday, and the new cases bring the total number in Alaska to three.
The new cases include a preteen from Haines who became ill May 27 upon returning home from Seattle. The boy has recovered, and no family members are showing flu-like symptoms.
The other new case involves a Fairbanks man in his 20s who reported feeling ill May 20. Officials say no information is currently available on how or where he became infected.
A Fairbanks woman had the first confirmed case of swine flu in Alaska on May 28.
