Perseverance holds auditions

JUNEAU - Perseverance Theatre will continue auditions for its 2001-2002 season from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the theatre building, 914 Third St. in Douglas.

Interested parties should call 364-2421, ext. 8, to schedule an audition appointment. Be prepared to present a one- to two-minute memorized audition piece and sing a short unaccompanied song. Anyone who has appeared in a Perseverance production in the past three years does not need to audition. Instead, call Susan Wilder at ext. 26.

Perseverance's season schedule includes: "The Winter's Tale," "Waiting for Godot," "King Island Christmas," "Proof," "The Wooden Breeks" and a new Alaska play still to be announced. The schedule is subject to change.

Symphony tickets on sale

JUNEAU - Tickets are now on sale for the Juneau Symphony's "Symphony Solstice - A Summer Pops Concert" on June 16. They can be purchased at Hearthside Books; advance prices are $15 general admission, $12 student/seniors and $8 children.

The concert will begin in the ballroom of Centennial Hall at 7:30 p.m. Attendants are invited to bring a picnic dinner; dessert and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchased.

Premier seating with complementary hors d'oeuvres is available, with a front row table for four going for $100.
