ANCHORAGE - The Alaska Wild has fired its coach.

Team spokesman Jeff Worthington says first-year coach Floyd Johnson was fired Thursday after the Indoor Football League started the season 0-8.

Anchorage television station KIMO was the first to report the firing.

Johnson will be replaced by Sonny Rodriguez for the remainder of the season.
