Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Police arrested a man, 32, on a charge of assault at 7:07 p.m. Sunday near Glacier Highway. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• At 12:30 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported that a two-foot tall wooden painted "cigar store Indian" statue was stolen during Memorial Day weekend near Glacier Highway.

• At 7:57 a.m. Monday, a woman reported the theft of a Motorola cellular telephone from a Nissan pickup truck near Patti Avenue in Lemon Creek.

• At 10:05 a.m. Monday, a woman reported the theft of her red 12-speed Canondale bicycle Saturday night near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek.

• At 11:02 a.m. Monday, a woman reported that 12 dozen pairs of sunglasses were stolen from a Ford Aerostar van near Glacier Highway. The total loss was estimated at $1,440.


• Police arrested a man, 45, on a charge of indecent exposure at 3:28 p.m. Sunday near Marine Way. They lodged him at the state prison.

Vehicle accidents:

• A 1997 Ford Escort allegedly struck a parked 1999 Audi at 3:57 p.m. Sunday on Behrends Avenue at Parks Street. Damage to the Audi was estimated at $1,000.

• Police cited a man, 47, on a charge of failing to stop at a red light at 7:12 a.m. Monday, after an accident near Mendenhall Loop and Mendenhall Mall roads involving the 1986 Dodge truck he was driving and a 1994 Ford pickup driven by a man, 38. Police impounded the Ford after citing its driver on a charge of not having a valid license. Damage to the Dodge was estimated at $5,000. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $2,000.

• Police cited a man, 18, on a charge of failing to maintain a safe distance in traffic at 9:07 a.m. Monday after an accident at Vanderbilt Hill Road and Egan Drive. The Chevrolet pickup the man was driving was reportedly totaled. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $4,000.

Hit and run:

• At 6:12 a.m. Monday, a man reported his 1978 Chevrolet Blazer was struck by an unknown vehicle near Mendenhall Mall Road.

Lost property:

• At 6:57 p.m. Sunday, a man, 19, reported losing a tan hemp wallet recently, somewhere in Juneau.
