Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Domestic violence:

• Police arrested a 26-year-old Juneau man on charges of domestic-violence assault, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday in the Mendenhall Valley. Police also arrested a 28-year-old man on charges of interfering with an officer, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Both men were lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• A 48-year-old man reported at 12:59 p.m. Tuesday that his mailbox was vandalized in the 2600 block of Engineers Cutoff Road.

• A 52-year-old man reported at 1:02 p.m. Tuesday that the driver's-side window of his 1990 Jeep was broken in the 8700 block of Trinity Drive.

• A 61-year-old man reported at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday that two tires were slashed on his vehicle at Aurora Harbor.

Vehicle accident:

• A 38-year-old man reported at 4 p.m. Tuesday that he struck a Dodge Neon with the Ford truck he was operating in the 9100 block of Glacier Highway.

Hit and run:

• A 39-year-old woman reported at 2:49 p.m. Tuesday that her parked 1997 Honda Accord was struck while parked near Main and Second streets in Juneau.

• A 62-year-old woman reported at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday that her American Eagle was struck while parked in the 8100 block of Pinewood Drive.

Vehicle burglary:

• A 53-year-old woman reported at 4:59 a.m. Wednesday that her unlocked Toyota was burglarized in the 200 block of St. Anns Avenue in Douglas.

• A 30-year-old woman reported at 8:23 a.m. Wednesday that a Global Positioning System unit, valued at $700, was stolen out of her unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of St. Anns Avenue in Douglas.


• A digital camera was reported stolen at 2:16 p.m. Tuesday in the 8600 block of Hayes Way.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported in the Fifth and Park streets at 12:56 p.m. Tuesday.

Calls related to alcohol: 1.

Calls related to domestic violence: 1.
