Thunder Mountain Big Band to open Concerts in the Park
Sound off on the important issues at
JUNEAU - Thunder Mountain Big Band will play this summer's first of nine Concerts in the Park, 7 p.m. Friday, June 9 at Marine Park.
Not Your Mama's Meatloaf, an electronica/salsa/hiphop dance collaboration featuring Keri Edwards, Lisa Morely and Bradelle Padon, will perform during an interlude.
Admission is free, and in the case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved to the city's Assembly chambers.
The series is sponsored by the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council and Holland America Line.

Perseverance to host 'Jesus Christ Superstar' auditions on Saturday
JUNEAU - Perseverance Theatre is holding auditions noon-4 p.m. Saturday, June 10, for Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's "Jesus Christ Superstar," the final production of the upcoming 2006-2007 season.
Hopefuls should prepare a song.
