A crowd of Juneau residents celebrates at Election Central in the Baranof Hotel after it becomes apparent Juneau would prevail in a capital-move battle. Capital-move advocates wanted to relocate the capital to Willow in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Juneau fought a long, contentious campaign to keep the capital in Southeast Alaska.
