We have enough space

Do we need a new high school? No.

Sound off on the important issues at

We have adequate space for our students, and the projected student population is on the decline. The Juneau School Board and the administration do not even have a concept of how this new school will function as evidenced by the latest plan for an alternative-school concept.

There are numerous trades involved with the current school construction, however, there is not one classroom designated for vocational education to perpetuate these trades. Our governor has stated that vocational education will be an emphasis under her administration, yet our school board continues to ignore the need for people who think with their brains and work with their hands. With this type of leadership, who will be prepared to build and repair your home, automobile, bicycle or boat?

I will be voting no on Tuesday.
