Animal encounters:
At 10:59 p.m. Thursday, a 36-year-old woman reported a bear on Behrends Avenue.
At 7 a.m. Friday, a man reported a bear in a Dumpster in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive.
Drunken driving:
At 11:45 p.m. Friday, Joann Lockwood, 51, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence after her Ford Bronco struck a car driven by a 68-year-old woman in on Egan Drive.
Driving without a license:
At 11:15 p.m. Thursday, a 31-year-old man was cited on a charge of driving without a license in the 400 block of Calhoun Avenue.
At 12:35 a.m. Friday, an 18-year-old man was cited on a charge of driving without a license on Egan Drive.
Hit-and-run:
At 1:35 p.m. Thursday, police reported a 2003 Ford truck was struck while parked in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road. Police estimated that the truck suffered $1,000 in damage to the driver's door.
Lost property:
At 7:52 a.m. Friday, a 61-year-old man reported the loss of a blue bag containing a heart monitor valued at $1,000 in Juneau.
Theft:
At 12 p.m. Thursday, police reported a theft totaling $550 in which a digital camera, iPod, painkillers, and sedatives were stolen from a Ford truck in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.
At 4:42 p.m. Thursday, an 18-year-old man was arrested on a charge of theft in the 300 block of Village Street. He was released.
At 11 a.m. Friday, a 40-year-old woman reported the theft of a .44 caliber Smith and Wesson in a brown holster from an unlocked car in Juneau.
At 11:23 a.m. Friday, a 24-year-old woman reported the theft of a MP3 player and $250 worth of compact discs from her unlocked Jeep in the 3200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.
Traffic accidents:
At 7:52 a.m. Friday, police received a report that a 30-year-old woman in a Honda suffered $4,000 in damage after a collision with a Ford truck, whose 18-year-old driver was cited on a charge of lack of insurance in the 200 block of Main Street.
Trespassing:
At 4:51 p.m. Thursday, a 45-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested on charges of criminal trespassing. Both were released.
Vandalism:
At 1:32 p.m. Thursday, a 58-year-old man reported damage to oil rigs and that a bus was spray painted in the 11800 block of Glacier Highway.
